The Beauty of Managing Time

As I am typing this, I am on a break from working on my marketing assignment that is due this weekend.

And it's currently. 3.52am in the morning as well.

I can't say that I am the best at managing time, in fact - I am an absolute procrastinator. Many times I get my drive when it is close to submission. But as past experience has shown me numerous times, cutting it too close always gets my heart racing for all the wrong reasons.

I personally have been trying to break my workload down into smaller parts so that it's easier to manage. And when you break it down, things don't seem so huge and daunting as when originally thought. Then again, I don't really listen to my own advice often either embarrassingly enough.

How do you manage your time? It'll be good to get other suggestions to see what works out for me in the long run.

Now it's back to work, wish me luck on finishing my assignment on time.

Finding the Autumn in Summer

I am a fan of experiencing the seasons through the colour of my polish, though I do stray away from the colour palate from time to time. As everyone knows, Australia goes through the heats of summer while the rest of the world starts to cool down around this time of the year. Even though it's all about the bright shades right now, I can't help but feel a tad bit autumnal - it's technically fall everywhere else after all.

So imagine my delight when I found this beautiful emerald green shade from Sayuri Nail Lacquer while exploring the Young Designer's Market at South Bank this weekend.

Magick Solace by Sayuri Nail Lacquer

The shade I picked up, Magick Solace, is one of the five shades in Sayuri Nail Lacquer's newest collection Otherworldly. I personally love me some jewel tones and this shade just reminded me of emeralds. The micro-shimmer in the polish is the selling point for me, I just loved how my nails glittered under natural light! A thing to note: this is a VERY sheer polish. I had to apply around 4 or five coats to get it opaque as seen in the picture above. But the benefits to this formulation is that you are able to layer this over other colours for an added special effect. Personal suggestions include darker shades like black and forest greens.

Sayuri is an indie nail polish brand that is a proud Australian company. I have personally heard of this company before through a Singapore-based online polish shop called Mei Mei's Signatures, but have never bought any of their products till now. That being said, this is the very first indie polish that I own and I'm loving it!

Here's to the start of a wonderful love affair with indie nail polishes.

All products bought in this blog post are purchased with my own money, I am not being sponsored for this. :)
